ALV: Netflix makes deal with Comcast

In this video I talk about the deal Netflix had to make with Comcast in order to get some decent speeds.

Galaxy S5 doesn't seem very impressive

Samsung has now unveiled the Galaxy S5 and I have to say I am not impressed at all.  Inside, the phone is nothing out of this world, same Snapdragon 800 processor a lot of other phones are already using.  Which is not a bad thing, that's really more power than we need already.  On the outside however the thing just looks horrible, in my opinion anyway.  You would think that if Samsung wasn't going to focus too much on new amazing features they would at least focus on making the phone look nice.  The stitched back of the Note 3 would have been much nicer.  It's like they took a huge step backwards from there.

As if just plain looking horrible wasn't bad enough they added a bigger camera, I think it must also be physically bigger because it comes out on the back.  I absolutely  hate it when you have a nice looking phone and then that camera just sticks out, although I guess since I hate the way the phone looks, this isn't exactly an issue.  They've also added a heart rate monitor to the back of the phone where you put your finger on it and it'll eventually, if you are lucky, read the correct heart rate.  Of course they've also put a fingerprint scanner on it, because you know, I guess that's the cool thing kids do now.  Unlike the Apple one, this fingerprint scanner needs to have you swipe your finger, hopefully they make better use of it, as in letting me use it to log into apps.

Here is a video from Erica the Technology Nerd who likes to film stuff (yup that's the full name), she doesn't seem very impressed with it either.

Obviously I can't really talk about it much until I try one, but so far I can say that I'm not impressed.

The Nexus Experience: Nexus 5

Made a new Video today about the Nexus 5.

On my last video I spoke about the Moto G and what a great deal it is at less than $200.  However I feel some people may be interested in paying an extra $150 to get a truly top of the line phone that still happens to cost so much less than any other phone.

Cheap Cell Phone: Moto G

Hello Everyone!

I've been wanting to make a video about the Moto G cell phone for a while and today I finally got around to it.  Basically the Moto G is a very nice cell phone that also happens to be very cheap, compared to a regular smartphone without a 2 year contract that is.

You can get the Moto G straight from Motorola by visiting THIS site, or you could also find it in Amazon.com

There is also a Google Edition version of the Moto G in the Google Play Store.  Not really sure why, the Moto G is basically stock android already but they decided to make a pure Stock android one and sell it on the Play Store.  That's ok, I guess, options, Right?

Hope you enjoyed the video!

T-Mobile will pay your ETF fees!

Hello Everyone!

Every now and then we end up hating our wireless carrier but since we only paid $200 or less for our cell phone, we most probably did a 2 year contract and now that we hate the carrier we feel we are screwed because we don't want to pay or we just plain can't afford to pay the ETF (Early Termination Fee).

T-Mobile is trying to make it easier for you to switch over to them, so they decided that they would just plain Pay your ETF for you!  Please check out the video below for more information!

For even more information about this, head on over to http://www.t-mobile.com

Anarchy Live Changes

As many of you know I use this Anarchy Live name as a way to reach out to people and talk about the things that interest me or bother me.  Every  now and then I get some help from a friend with something but for the most part Anarchy Live is a 1 man operation.  This means that changes tend to happen because eventually I learn how to do certain things better or I learn not to do other things.

Today I wanted to let you all know about some of the changes that you can expect from Anarchy Live in 2014.

I'll start with the Blog, because this has always been my favorite way of getting in touch with people.  Even though it's my favorite, I tend to ignore the Blog quite a bit sometimes.  I'm going to be trying to pay more attention to the blog to let you all know what is going on and share more of the things I like with you all.  This year I may also end up moving it to a different service, not sure.  For sure I have gone ahead and removed the ads from the side because I was seeing some of those "Singles" ads and I just didn't like them.

I don't tend to advertise it much but I do have a Google+ community going for Anarchy Live, you can find that over at https://plus.google.com/communities/106858657289747716902

I'll try to focus more this year on adding more content to the community with things I enjoy so that it is a more enjoyable place.  Obviously it would be extremely helpful if the members would also start posting things they find interesting, preferably related to things like Technology, Video Games or normal geek culture stuff.

The Podcast has to be the part of Anarchy Live that's been getting the most attention lately, I enjoy doing it with my friends from Game X Presents quite a bit.  The main change with the Podcast is that too many times we try to force the podcast to be a 1 hour thing even if we don't really have much to talk about.  So we are going to be changing that to a 30 minute minimum.  We are also going to be trying to make the whole thing more laid back so that it's more fun for us and hopefully the listener.

You Tube Channel:

Last year I had decided I wanted to start making Anarchy Live videos, which I did, however after moving I just stopped and getting back into it has been extremely difficult because I was trying to make more complex videos.  I decided that this year I'd start making more videos but also make them a lot more laid back, I'm also hoping to keep them at around 3 minutes in length.

The biggest change with the channel is that it has changed.  You used to be able to get to the Anarchy Live channel by going to http://www.youtube.com/user/tsnstuff

The new channel can be found at: http://www.youtube.com/user/anarchylivecom

Basically I decided to separate my personal YouTube from the Anarchy Live one.  So if you enjoyed my videos in the past please go on over to the new channel and subscribe.

Not much to say here, I've been getting bored of the current logo, so I'm going to be working on creating a new one.  Not sure when it'll be ready but I'm certainly taking opinions!

Social Networks:

The best way to get in touch with me is still going to be Twitter @tsnstuff
You can also find me on Google+ +Javier Torres

As you can see there is a lot of ways to get in touch with me on Anarchy Live, I truly appreciate it whenever I hear from any of you on any way.  Like I said the main reason I do this is to share my interests and opinions and it's just awesome whenever I hear back from any of you letting me know if something I made helped you or even if you disagree.

Thank You all for the support you've always given me and lets hope for a much better 2014!
